partner with us

Partner with us by funding projects or programmes, which aim to further the UKZN's vision to enable greatness and help each student prosper.

Become an individual partner

Individual benefactors are invaluable in our quest to keep pace with technological advances and improve our reputation for excellence in teaching, research and societal engagement. Privately sourced funds are vital to us in funding our many projects, programmes and exceptional students.

By making a bequest or giving a gift to the University, alumni and other friends can help us to maintain our excellence and meet the challenges to become The Premier University of African Scholarship.

SUPPORT A STUDENT

As an alumnus or friend of the university, you have the opportunity to make financial gifts to bursary funds for talented students. Support for student bursaries are possible through:

  • The Alumni Bursary Fund
  • The Archbishop Denis E. Hurley Educational Fund
  • The General Bursary Fund

Donate to the UKZN Foundation Trust

LEAVE A LEGACY

Leaving a bequest to the University offers you a fine opportunity to extend your support and influence beyond your lifetime. When you include the University in your will, you become a partner in progress, possibly in a way you could never have envisaged.

To leave your legacy:

  • Leave a bequest to the University, with stipulations that match your interests.
  • Choose whether you’d like to bequeath a certain percentage of your estate or a specified amount.
  • You can elect to bequeath real estate, investments, works of art, books or life insurance policies.

Bequests to the University may be exempt from estate duty.

When considering making a gift or bequest to the University, please do not hesitate to contact the Bequest Office for more advice and information.
